A great start: DemiCare+ kick-off in Vienna

The DemiCare+ project has officially started with a successful kick-off in Vienna! We came together with eight partnering companies from three different countries to give the project a flying start.

DemiCare+ focuses on supporting informal caregivers of people with dementia. This caregiving role is emotionally demanding, sometimes isolating, and can even make them feel hopeless about the future of their patient. This high impact on the caregiver's life comes with a risk of depression. Our goal is to create tools and support systems that help prevent caregiver burnout and enhance their mental well-being.

In several workshops during the kick-off, we collaborated across countries (including The Netherlands, Austria and Romania) to creatively map the caregiver-patient workflow, exploring both our common ground and country-specific differences.

We look forward to the future of this new international project with amazing collaborations, including AIT, ARTCC, CNSMLA, EURAG Österreich, GRAZ, Romanian Alzheimer Society, MEDrecord, and Vilans. Together, we’re building better care - not only for patients, but for those who stand beside them every day. 💙
